Director Junjie Lian graduated from the Communication Design department of Pratt Institute New York with a master degree in 1994. He lived in the United States for 13 years and participated in the title sequences design and production of the famous Hollywood films such as ‘Spiderman’ during this period. In 2004, he returned to Taiwan and settled down to focus on creative production of dynamic images and digital content development.

He has been working in the advertising, animation and creative industries for more than 20 years. His works have been invited to many exhibitions and won numerous international awards, including the 2000 BDA Awards, the 20th Anniversary Telly Awards, and was selected for the 2010 London OnedotZero -Adventure in Motion International Festival.

As the head of THG Films Taiwan Animation Base, he has been focusing on original content IP development since 2017. Currently, the team has four animated feature films and two animated short series under development.

Achievements in recent years:2020 Animated Short Film ‘The Weather is Lovely’ – be shortlisted for the Best Animated Short Film at the Golden Horse Awards, the Best Animation at Taipei Film Awards, the Best Animated Short Film at Canada Fantasia International Film Festival Mainichi Film Concours Award and the Best Short Film at Kaohsiung Film Festival; be invited to KuanDu International Animation Festival, Taichung International Animation Festival and many international animation festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
